A Tech Lead is responsible for managing projects given to the technology department by other internal departments. The Tech Lead must be able to write functional specs from requirements given by other departments, build timelines, and ensure delivery of quality, up-to-spec builds.

In addition to managing internal development teams, the Tech Lead must be able to source and manage third-party vendors and development teams. Additionally important is the ability to be present during (and contribute to) the creative process and vet ideas coming from other teams. Will report to the Director of Technology.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Source and manage internal and external development teams. • Ability to write detailed technical specifications based on creative, strategic and business requirements.

• Build project timelines and schedules. • Be present in brainstorms and project planning sessions to vet ideas and contribute to the creative process. • Be familiar with agile teams/workflow.

• Act as the communication bridge between other departments and the technology department. • Have knowledge of version control workflow.

• Have basic knowledge of programming • Have knowledge of social APIs (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) is a plus.
